“The beginning of an unforgettable journey”
Tell us what led you to become a surrogate and how you took the first step?
I considered it, because I was looking for a way to help people and I think this is a good way. It’s also a win-win. For me, from the beginning I sought to help people, but in a safe, comfortable and supported way. That way, I started looking for an option, and among all of them, from the first moment there was Gestacy. The way I got to the agency was by searching for information, comparing, and among the appointments I had with different agencies, it was the site that caught my attention the most and gave me security.
What made you choose Gestacy?
Mainly, feeling safe, comfortable and supported. I began to see that Gestacy was one of the best agencies in terms of financial compensation, support and transparency from the first moment. Being able to meet the parents and have direct contact was quite important in making the decision.
How did you prepare physically and emotionally for the process?
Physically, I started eating healthier, taking vitamins, folic acid. My life began to be healthier, I walked longer, did low-impact exercise. Drink more water and give up soft drinks. Psychologically, it involved talking a lot with my daughters and partner, who supported me a lot during the process. My daughters knew that the baby was part of another family, but that in the meantime he would be in our care. The support of your family and their understanding helps you feel safe during the process.
What moment during the trip do you consider the most memorable?
The process is always full of memorable moments. The first is when you meet the parents and know their dreams. During the process, the most memorable is when they tell you that it is POSITIVE, you feel joy and you remember everything you experienced as a mother again. Now you feel it in a different way, because you feel on the one hand happiness and, at the same time, knowing that you are helping, it is a double commitment. I think the memorable moment for everyone is when the baby is born. One of the parents accompanied me during the birth and I was nervous and with that joy of seeing the baby and holding her in my arms. For everyone, for me, for the parents, for Gestacy.
What advice would you give to a person who is thinking about becoming a surrogate mother?
Let them stop what they will say, the taboos, let us obtain both good and bad information and value the balance. Nowadays, I would tell them that they will look for the best option, where they feel safe and comfortable. Always inform yourself in any situation.

How they discovered Gestacy and what encouraged them to sign up
I searched through Google, I looked for several agencies, I contacted several and what I liked the most was that Gestacy introduced me to several people who had previously done the process. This did not happen with other agencies except through prior payment. This gave me more confidence to enroll.
How would you describe Gestacy's support throughout this process?
I think it was quite good, especially the communication between the surrogate mother, that Gestacy intervened in the entire process, then the legal process which is something quite unknown in this case and after the birth, above all, Samantan (coordinator) helped me find nurses for babies, payment and choice of hospital.
Would you share any memorable memories with us?
Mainly, the birth of the babies when they allowed me to go into labor.
What was your relationship with the surrogate like?
The relationship was quite good. From the second month of knowing each other here in Mexico, we got in touch with each other and spoke through WhatsApp with audios, thus being very direct. We wonder how you are, how the week has been, the discomfort you may have felt, the movements of the babies. The final stage was quite positive because he told me how he was doing and thanks to that I was able to come to Mexico earlier and witness the birth of the babies.
